Armed Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank with stones on Wednesday, injuring a Palestinian citizen and a foreign activist, according to Wafa news agency. The settlers targeted the home of Muhammad al-Jabarin in the eastern area of Shaab al-Batim in Masafer Yatta, part of Hebron.

They injured his son Fadi and caused damage to the house. In the village of Al-Mughayyir in Ramallah, settlers fired flares and tear gas.

The letter, signed by Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Jordan, was delivered to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the UN Security Council. The coalition described Iran's claims as rejected allegations that threaten regional sovereignty and maritime law.

The letter states that no single country may claim the right to impose unilateral administration. It demanded a public withdrawal of the claims, unconditional reopening of the waterway and full legal compensation for damages. The statement also condemned a recent drone attack on an Emirati ADNOC tanker as a flagrant violation of UNSC Resolution 2817.

The resolution, adopted in March 2026, condemns Iranian missile and drone strikes against Gulf states and Jordan and prohibits interference with international navigation in the strait.

Iran's foreign minister accused Kuwait of an illegal maritime intervention, stating that Kuwait unlawfully attacked an Iranian boat and detained four Iranian citizens in the Persian Gulf. Iran's UN mission dismissed a proposed U.S.-backed resolution threatening sanctions over Tehran's actions in the Strait of Hormuz, calling it absurd and deceptive.

Hezbollah reported launching 17 attacks on Israeli forces in southern Lebanon on Wednesday using rockets, drones and roadside bombs. The targets included gatherings of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in border towns and valleys. The International Energy Agency forecasts global oil supply will drop to 3.9 million barrels per day this year due to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

UNICEF reported that 200 children have been killed in Lebanon since hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel resumed on March 2, with 806 children injured. The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that several Palestinians, including children, were injured in an Israeli attack in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza.
