Israeli Strikes in Gaza Kill Three, Wound 15

Medical sources told Al Jazeera that at least three Palestinians were killed and 15 others wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Monday. One person died in a drone strike on a motorcycle in southern Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, where two missiles were fired and nine civilians were injured.

Anadolu Agency identified the man as 28-year-old Osama Naim Shamlakh. A separate strike on a police post near the al-Tawam roundabout in northwest Gaza City wounded four officers. Anadolu Agency later reported that one of the injured, 36-year-old Thaer Ramzi Fayyad, died from his wounds.

Israeli forces also struck a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The wounded were taken to Nasser Hospital. Another attack hit a vehicle on al-Rashid Road in the central Gaza town of az-Zawayda, with casualties transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah.

A young man was slightly wounded when a strike hit an apartment in the Maghazi refugee camp. Israeli military vehicles fired toward homes east of the Bureij refugee camp and near the Halawa displacement camp in eastern Jabalia, but no casualties were reported from those incidents.

Israeli forces moved concrete blocks marking areas under their control to within about 200 metres of Salah al-Din Road in the Shujayea neighbourhood of Gaza City. The October ceasefire agreement allows Israel to control areas behind a demarcation line in the eastern part of the Gaza Strip.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health says Israeli ceasefire violations have killed 1,108 Palestinians and wounded 3,578 others since the agreement took effect.
