Israeli Strikes Kill at Least 19 in Southern Lebanon as Both Sides Report Ceasefire Violations

The death toll from the Saksakiyeh strike appeared to be continuing to rise as of 17:00 GMT on May 9, 2026, with Lebanese civil defence still recovering people from the rubble. Israeli strikes also hit Safad al-Battikh in the Bint Jbeil district, the town of Budyas in the Sour district, and the al-Bayad neighbourhood in Nabatieh.
