Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, appeared by video link at an Israeli Supreme Court hearing in Jerusalem on 10 June 2026 and asked for his immediate release. The doctor was seized by Israeli forces on 27 December 2024 during a raid on the hospital.
