She was then forced into a van and taken to an abandoned building on the outskirts of Rome occupied by 22 migrants present in the country without legal authorization.
Five men were arrested: two Gambians, one Malian, and two Nigerians. At least three additional suspects remain under investigation. Italian authorities issued expulsion orders to 11 of the 22 migrants found in the building. The woman was discovered lying partially unclothed on a nearby street after her escape.
