IU and actor Lee Jong-suk have ended their four-year relationship, their agencies said on July 10. Yonhap reported that an official at Edam Entertainment, IU's agency, stated the two have broken up. Ace Factory, Lee Jong-suk's agency, confirmed the decision and said they have decided to remain good colleagues.
The pair met in 2012 while emceeing a K-pop music program and acknowledged their romantic relationship in 2022. In his 2022 MBC Drama Award acceptance speech for his role in the thriller "Big Mouth," Lee said, "Thank you for always being there as the wonderful person you are. " IU debuted as a singer in 2008.
Her hit songs include "Good Day" (2010), "Palette" (2017) and "eight" (2020) featuring Suga of BTS. She has also appeared in the dramas "My Mister" (2018) and "When Life Gives You Tangerines" (2025). Lee debuted as a model in 2005 and began acting in 2010.
