Jay-Z Concert at Yankee Stadium Delayed Hours by Security Breach

Jay-Z's final concert at Yankee Stadium began after midnight on Monday, July 13, after a security breach outside the venue forced authorities to lock down the stadium for several hours on the night of July 12. A large group pushed through checkpoints, according to an unnamed police source. Officials restricted entry and exit while NYPD officers and venue security regained control.

The show had been scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET with doors opening at 6 p.m. , but the performance did not begin immediately. An anonymous source inside the stadium reported waiting almost five hours as of late Sunday night.
