Country singer Jelly Roll disclosed that he gained 12 pounds after breaking his collarbone a few days before Christmas, bringing his weight to just over 276 pounds. The injury left him unable to run, walk or exercise for an extended period, derailing his progress right after reaching his weight loss goal before the 2025 holidays.
Jelly Roll started his health journey a few years ago at 540 pounds and had slimmed down to 265 pounds when he appeared on the cover of Men’s Health earlier in 2026.
He attributed the recent gain to indulging in large meals over Thanksgiving, his birthday and Christmas, followed by the collarbone break that halted his activity. 'I had large meals for Thanksgiving, my birthday, and Christmas,' he said in the vlog, noting it paused his routine, as reported by the New York Post.
Looking ahead, Jelly Roll is training for the New York City Marathon this fall in 2026 and wants to appear shirtless on a magazine cover, such as GQ or Rolling Stone. 'I just believe there’s a story that a guy can go from 540 pounds to a shirt-off picture. It’s absurd,' he said.
Jelly Roll was seen in Las Vegas in February 2026 and pictured in Los Angeles that same month. He also attended the 2026 Grammys in Los Angeles. After turning to testosterone replacement therapy, which he expects to continue for the rest of his life, Jelly Roll said the changes improved his intimacy.
'Now it’s a totally different thing. I’m chasing her around the house, you know what I’m saying? I’m like a teenage kid again,' he told Men’s Health, as reported by the New York Post.
