During the interview, Garth, who is 54 years old, discussed the dissolution of her marriage to Peter Facinelli, who is 52 years old. The couple met in 1995 while filming the TV movie An Unfinished Affair and married that same year. Garth and Facinelli share three daughters: Luca, who is 28 years old; Lola, who is 23 years old; and Fiona, who is 19 years old.
Facinelli filed for divorce in March 2012, and the divorce was finalized in 2013. Garth detailed these events in her 2014 memoir Deep Thoughts From a Hollywood Blonde.
