Jewelers Identify Summer Trends in Beads, Mixed Metals, and Cocktail Rings
Jewelers and stylists told Business Insider that colorful beaded gemstone pieces, mixed-metal stacks, and oversized rings are gaining favor for summer 2026. They also noted rising interest in vintage and inherited jewelry while dainty and logo-heavy items are losing ground.
Jewelers and stylists interviewed by Business Insider described several jewelry styles they expect to see more often this summer. Elise Quick, jeweler and cofounder of C&E Fine Jewelry, said beaded jewelry is returning with gemstones such as raw-cut sapphire, emerald, and turquoise replacing plastic beads.
JesseRay Vasquez, jeweler and founder of Nickho Rey, said oversized rings, diamonds, and layered chains are now paired with casual clothing such as jeans and T-shirts. Kendra Sharpe, stylist and founder of Kendra Sharpe Styling and Creative, said people are mixing sterling silver and yellow gold in ring stacks and other layered pieces.
Cierra Podsednik, jeweler and cofounder of C&E Fine Jewelry, said clients are reworking vintage pieces and family heirlooms including lockets, charm necklaces, and chunky pearls. Business Insider also reported that cocktail rings are appearing again after a period of lower visibility. The same reporting noted that dainty jewelry and logo-heavy pieces are becoming less common.
