Jhon Durán agrees to loan move from Al Nassr to Benfica

Colombian forward Jhon Durán has agreed to join Benfica on loan from Al Nassr with an option to buy, according to multiple reports. The deal includes a non-mandatory buy option clause. Salary costs will be shared between the two clubs.

Background on the negotiations Benfica opened talks with Al Nassr earlier this week. Direct discussions also took place between Benfica and Durán’s representatives. Durán rejected offers from two other clubs that play in the Champions League. He chose Benfica because of the project and the opportunity to work under manager Marco Silva.

Next steps Durán is scheduled to undergo a medical examination this weekend.

The transfer is expected to be completed shortly afterward.
