Jon Jones Rejects Daniel Cormier Wrestling Proposal After ALF Global CEO Claims Match Is 'Almost Confirmed'
Alfredo Auditore stated on Instagram that a wrestling bout between the former UFC champions is in the works for the Professional Wrestling League.
ALF Global CEO Alfredo Auditore said a wrestling match between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier in the Professional Wrestling League is almost confirmed. Auditore posted on his Instagram Stories that the sides are negotiating. “We’ve made a wrestling match: Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier in our PWL (Professional Wrestling League),” he wrote.
In a follow-up post he added, “It’s almost confirmed from both sides. ” Jones and Cormier fought twice in the UFC. Jones defeated Cormier by decision at UFC 182 in 2015. In the rematch Jones knocked Cormier out, but the result was later overturned to a no contest.
The pair served as opposing coaches on the most recent season of ALF Reality, a Russian series produced by ALF Global that is similar to The Ultimate Fighter. Cormier is coaching on The Ultimate Fighter in 2026. ALF Reality is staged by ALF Global, which is led by Auditore.
Auditore also holds a role with IBA Bare Knuckle, for which Jones is a global ambassador. Jones and Cormier were filmed testing each other’s wrestling in a light-hearted video posted earlier in 2026 by Red Corner MMA on YouTube. After the ALF Reality appearances, Cormier suggested the two put up $50,000 each for a high-stakes wrestling clash.
