Jonas Valanciunas signed a two-year contract with Zalgiris Kaunas on July 15. The agreement runs through the 2027-28 season, though financial terms were not disclosed. The move follows the Denver Nuggets' decision to waive the 34-year-old center the prior week.
Valanciunas appeared in 65 games for Denver during the 2025-26 season, averaging 8.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Over 14 NBA seasons he compiled career averages of 12.8 points and 9.0 rebounds while playing in 1,002 regular-season games. His teams included the Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies, Washington Wizards, Sacramento Kings and Nuggets.
Zalgiris Kaunas, the Lithuanian club that competes in the EuroLeague, announced the signing on its official channels the same day.
