Josh Hokit Defeats Derrick Lewis by TKO at UFC Freedom 250
The heavyweight stopped Lewis in the second round on Sunday. Hokit then made remarks about Michelle Obama during his post-fight interview.
nypost.comJosh Hokit defeated Derrick Lewis by TKO in the second round at UFC Freedom 250 on Sunday. Hokit, who joined the UFC roster via the Contender Series in August 2025, improved to 4-0 in the Octagon. The win marked his second consecutive victory over a ranked opponent after he defeated Curtis Blaydes earlier this year.
During his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Hokit said, "Lastly, Michele Obama is a man. " UFC CEO Dana White told Time he opposed the comments. "I understand that the Obama's are public figures but I'm completely against saying nasty and false things about people's families," White said.
Hokit has drawn attention for provocative behavior since entering the heavyweight division. The former NFL hopeful has leaned into a pro-wrestling style persona during his rapid rise. The UFC has not announced whether it will take disciplinary action against Hokit.
He is expected to receive another high-profile fight as he moves toward the top ten of the division.
