The View co-host discussed Vice President JD Vance's Tuesday appearance on the program during Wednesday's episode of the show's podcast Behind The Table.
Washington ExaminerJoy Behar said Vice President JD Vance should run for president after his Tuesday appearance on The View. She made the comments Wednesday on the show's podcast Behind The Table. Behar stated that she expected Vance to lack a sense of humor but found otherwise.
“I expected him to not have a sense of humor and he did have one,” she said. She added that she approached him during a commercial break and began “doing the tumulting with him,” which she said warmed him up and disarmed him immediately. Vance appeared on the program to promote his book Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith and to defend the administration’s agenda.
During the show, the six hosts questioned him on immigration, affordability, and his past remarks about President Donald Trump. Behar told Vance during a commercial break that he should run for president. She stopped short of saying she would vote for him.
“Truthfully … I don’t think that [Vance] is a bad guy, so if he runs against, say a Gavin Newsom, that will be an interesting debate to see those two because they’re both intelligent,” she said. Behar said she believes Vance is “definitely” running for president. She added that he came on the program because of those ambitions and to promote his book.
Behar said she would only consider voting for Republicans at the local level. She revealed that she “possibly” voted for former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. “I don’t mind a Republican on the city level because it needs a little discipline,” she said.
” “[Democrats] care about the poor; they help people,” she said. “The Republican Party is much more about saving taxes for rich people. ” Behar said all 2028 presidential candidates will appear on The View.
“They all will,” she said. “They have to stop here.
