Joy Behar to miss two weeks of 'The View' for London play

nypost.comCo-host Joy Behar announced Tuesday she will step away from the ABC daytime talk show "The View" for two weeks to perform her play overseas. Behar made the announcement on the show's "Behind the Table" podcast. Producer Brian Teta told her the upcoming week would be her last podcast for a while because she would not be on the program.
Behar said the show had pre-taped weekend episodes to cover her absence. She will first travel to Paris, then take the Channel Tunnel to London for a second week of performances.
Play details Behar wrote the play "My First Ex-Husband" and appears in it.
Performances are scheduled at the Boulevard Theatre in London's West End. Actress Jackie Hoffman will co-star with two British actresses. Behar said her time in Paris will include writing in cafes and visits to art exhibits. Several fill-in hosts will cover her seat.
Sheryl Underwood and podcast host Kara Swisher are among those scheduled, according to Fox News. Part-time co-host Ana Navarro will also fill in. Whoopi Goldberg, who usually takes Fridays off, is set to appear on Fridays during Behar's absence.
