New York Post reported that surveillance footage played in Fourth District Court in Provo, Utah, on July 7, 2026, showed Tyler Robinson moving across the Utah Valley University campus on September 10, 2025. The videos depicted Robinson leaving the campus, returning, stopping for lunch at a Chick-fil-A, changing clothes, and climbing to a rooftop while walking with a noticeable limp.
Former Utah state investigator David Hull testified that Robinson lived three hours away from the campus.
District Judge Tony Graf overruled defense objections and allowed the videos to be shown on the second day of the preliminary hearing. Robinson, 23, faces charges in the killing of Charlie Kirk. The hearing is determining whether he will stand trial.
