A judge ordered a man to stay away from the singer for five years after he attempted to enter her Los Angeles home more than a dozen times. The order includes a 100-yard distance requirement and a firearms prohibition.
The IndependentA judge issued a five-year restraining order Wednesday against a man who attempted to enter singer Sabrina Carpenter's Los Angeles home more than a dozen times. In one incident last month, the man struck a security guard and was arrested after reaching the front door by crossing through a neighboring property.
He returned in the following days, prompting the court to issue a temporary restraining order on May 29. The man admitted to the appearances and stated that Carpenter wanted him there, but said he would be willing to stay away if she told him directly.
He claimed police and her representatives were working against him.
The man appeared without an attorney, wearing a suit and using a laptop at the defense table. He opposed the restraining order and stated in court filings that he attended Carpenter's Coachella performance in April and believed she looked at him while performing to communicate.
Carpenter described the man as a complete stranger whom she has never met or communicated with. The judge questioned the man only to verify that social media posts about Carpenter were from him. The judge ordered the man to stay at least 100 yards from Carpenter, her sister, and her sister's partner.
Additional restrictions prohibit any communication attempts and firearm possession. The man remains under criminal investigation, though court records do not show that charges have been filed. Carpenter, 27, rose to fame after starring in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World and achieved major success with her 2024 album Short n' Sweet and its hit singles Espresso and Please Please Please.
