Julia Fox Admits to Shoplifting from Betsey Johnson at Awards Event

Johnson presented Fox with the Betsey Johnson Iconoclast Award and performed one of her signature splits on stage.
Fox responded by saying she could not do cartwheels or splits. Fox described the award as a full circle moment. She stated that she had told Johnson about the shoplifting before sharing it with the audience. Fox added that the clothes were so good it was Johnson's fault, prompting laughter from the crowd.
Brian Williams took the stage after Fox to present an award. He said the audience had learned there was an active shoplifter on the loose and quipped that they should move their valuables to a safe place. Williams added that if he attempted a split he would end up in the hospital for special surgery.
The evening began with Blake Mycoskie, founder of Tom's, receiving the social impact award from actress Jamie Alexander. Mycoskie spoke about experiencing depression for seven years after selling his company. He created Enough bracelets, with 100 percent of proceeds donated to mental health organizations, and gave two bracelets to each attendee.
Mycoskie said that everyone is enough and that self worth is a birthright not defined by accomplishments. Other honorees included Sara Blakely, Todd Kahn, Jay Hartington, Fabrizio Uguzzoni, Nata Dvir, Melinda Maria Spigel, Laura Bicego, Marco D’Acunzo and Tamron Hall.
Hall received the style influencer award from Fern Mallis. Attendees included Coco Rocha, Nicole Miller, Ramy Brook, Steven Lagos, June Ambrose, Rebecca Minkoff and Accessories Council President and CEO Grank Zambrelli.
