The Great American State Fair ended its 16-day run on July 4 with a speech and fireworks display in Washington, D.C. Several family members attended portions of the event while the president's youngest son did not appear. He is currently enrolled at New York University's Washington, D.C. campus and rarely attends media events.

Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and their children attended a separate event in the Hamptons the day before the July 4 conclusion. Tiffany and her mother, Marla Maples, were both present at the fair. Marla Maples posted on Instagram thanking organizers for hosting young leaders.
Weather disruptions Organizers closed the fair temporarily on Friday afternoon because of extreme heat. A congressional correspondent reported that conditions felt like a sauna outside. Severe weather on Saturday forced evacuations before the speech began.
The president later posted on Truth Social that 422,000 people had gathered before the evacuation and that at least 150,000 returned afterward. The event was organized by Never Surrender USA and began on June 24.
