Michelle she had an opening from a past surgery and an infection. The doctor recommended that K. Michelle undergo reconstructive surgery to clean it out and remove any of the dead tissue. U.K. Michelle stated that the actual thing that has made her sick is not the BBL but the injections that she got involving silicone.

Michelle was standing in a bathroom in Nashville when everyone was blow-drying her down to get her on stage to sing. Despite the emergency, K. Michelle performed onstage at the ACM Honors.
