Kai Trump spoke at the ESPYs on July 15 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Square in New York. Fox News reported that she used the appearance to describe her approach to public life through video blogs.
Trump told Sportico she avoids politics. "Honestly, I kind of stay out of politics completely. It’s just not my thing," she said. She added that she prefers to show viewers how an athlete can pursue multiple interests.
"I just like showing my life and showing how you can still be an athlete and you can still do a ton of other things and enjoy a ton of other things," Trump stated. She said she wants to demonstrate to younger audiences that multiple paths remain open. Trump also attended the UFC Freedom 250 fights on the South Lawn of the White House on June 13.
Trump is set to join the Miami Hurricanes golf team as one of two freshmen, alongside Bella Dovhey. She is scheduled to make her collegiate debut soon.
