The tracts lie in the regions of Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Mangystau, Ulytau, and Kostanay. The offered acreage is estimated by the ministry to hold more than 9 billion barrels of oil equivalent in hydrocarbon resource potential.
