KBO Hits 7 Million Fans in 388 Games, on Pace to Top 2025 Record

The Korea Baseball Organization reached a season total of 7,013,844 fans after four games played across South Korea on June 30, Yonhap reported. The league hit the 7 million mark in 388 games, 17 fewer than the previous record of 405 games set in 2025. The KBO set a single-season attendance record of more than 12.3 million fans in 2025 and is currently on pace to exceed that figure.

It needed only 13 days and 54 games to move from 6 million to 7 million attendees, both new benchmarks. One scheduled game was rained out, while the four that were played drew a combined 60,280 spectators. The Doosan Bears defeated the Lotte Giants 5-0 before 21,411 fans at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.

Teams are averaging 18,077 fans per game, an 8 percent increase from the same point last season. Nine of the ten clubs have recorded higher average attendance than in 2025. The Lotte Giants are the lone exception, with their average falling from 20,728 to 20,111.

Four teams are drawing more than 20,000 fans per game on average. The league has recorded 218 sellouts through June 30, putting the 2025 single-season record of 331 in reach.
