Kelly Curtis signed messages with the Hungarian phrase "Isten Veled, God is with you," according to the post. Jamie Lee Curtis closed the tribute with "Isten Veled to my sister of the sun and the moon, my Tai. " A second Instagram post on June 1, 2026, included a contact sheet of photographs taken the night before Jamie Lee Curtis's wedding on December 17, 1984.
Kelly Curtis served as maid of honor at that wedding. "My sister and I were close as children but also had that sibling competition for divorced parent's attention and love and we were wildly different and lived apart for many years, but she came back to be with me at my wedding and never really left again," Jamie Lee Curtis wrote.
Kelly Curtis later worked for her sister "as my as-sister-aunt" during periods between jobs.
She was born June 17, 1956, to actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. Kelly Curtis made her screen debut in the 1958 film "The Vikings," according to Entertainment Weekly. She is survived by her husband, Scott Morfee, and siblings Alexandra Curtis, Allegra Curtis, and Ben Curtis.
Her brother Nicholas Curtis died in 1994. Jamie Lee Curtis and Kelly Curtis appeared together at the November 20, 2012, premiere of Fox Searchlight Pictures' "Hitchcock" in Beverly Hills, California. ABC News has reached out to Jamie Lee Curtis's representative for comment.
