Khamenei funeral procession draws hundreds of thousands in Tehran

A funeral procession for former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei began in Tehran on July 6, 2026, drawing hundreds of thousands of mourners according to multiple reports. State media outlets Tasnim and Press TV said millions of people lined the streets, with officials calling the event the largest public gathering in the country's modern history.
