He recalled his summit with Xi in Pyongyang last month as a historic occasion that deepened comradely friendship and trust and reconfirmed the will to promote socialist construction in both countries and their traditional friendly relations.
Xi made a two-day state visit to Pyongyang on June 8-9, his first trip to North Korea in nearly seven years. During the visit the two leaders agreed to deepen cooperation across politics, economy and culture and pledged to strengthen high-level communication. Kim said the absolute superiority of the relations between the two countries is firmly guaranteed by the leadership of the parties.
He added that he was ready to work alongside Xi to add shine to socialism, the common cause of the two parties, and to keep building the friendly and cooperative relationship he described as a shared asset of both peoples. The Chinese Embassy in Pyongyang held a banquet on June 30 to mark the anniversary.
