Kiwoom Heroes Defeat SSG Landers 6-0 to Extend Winning Streak
The Kiwoom Heroes swept the SSG Landers in a three-game series and moved out of last place in the Korea Baseball Organization standings. Catcher Kim Gun-hee hit a grand slam and pitcher Raul Alcantara threw eight shutout innings.

Right-hander Raul Alcantara threw eight shutout innings for the Heroes. He allowed only three hits and struck out eight batters while using a mix of fastballs, forkballs, and sliders.
The Heroes added two more runs in the seventh inning on RBI singles by An Chi-hong and Lee Hyung-jong. Reliever Kim Jae-ung pitched a scoreless ninth inning to finish the game. Alcantara said after the game that pitching in front of his family helped him focus. He noted that he felt better with each inning and was pleased to throw many innings for the team.
The win improved the Heroes record to 19-26-1 and moved them out of last place. The NC Dinos dropped to the bottom after losing 1-0 to the Doosan Bears. The Landers lost their fourth straight game and fell to 22-22-1.
