The New York Knicks announced that the winning bid for two courtside seats at Game 3 of the NBA Finals reached $1 million. The seats are located in section VIP 10, row AA, seats 25 and 26, directly off center court at Madison Square Garden. The auction took place ahead of Monday night's game, the first NBA Finals contest at the arena since 1999.

The winning bid was split between the law firm Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher LLP and private equity firm Veritas Capital.

The fundraiser benefited the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which assists children in need in the tristate area through partnerships with MSG companies. The Knicks stated the donation is the largest single contribution in the foundation's history. The seats are typically reserved for celebrity fans and are not available for standard purchase.

Past recipients have included Tracy Morgan and Timothée Chalamet.

Secondary-market prices for remaining seats have risen sharply. The cheapest upper-deck tickets listed Sunday night exceeded $6,000 on platforms including StubHub, SeatGeek, and VividSeats. Courtside experiences on the resale market were listed above $75,000.

Former Sen. Bill Bradley, who won two NBA championships with the New York Knicks, discussed President Trump's planned attendance at the game during a CBS News appearance. " — Former Sen.
