The New York Knicks lost Game 3 of the NBA Finals 111-115 to the San Antonio Spurs on June 8, 2026, at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks entered the game on a winning streak in the series and now trail 2-1. Game 4 is scheduled for June 10.

President Trump attended the game to support the Knicks. Cardi B, who performed at halftime, later said his presence changed the mood inside the arena. "It probably was. But it is what it is. You can't stop the president from ...

Going to a game. But it did feel a little dark in there," she said during an Instagram Live session after the game. Cardi B compared the atmosphere to a school visit by a principal. "It felt like the principal was there, and everybody had to be on their best behavior," she said.

She is a known critic of President Trump and shares the same New York hometown with him. The 33-year-old Bronx-born rapper performed her song "Bodak Yellow" wearing a gray corset and leggings while surrounded by New York Knicks dancers. She sat courtside during the game with her 4-year-old son Wave.

"He's always asking for the phone. He did not ask for the phone [at the game], not one time," she said of her son. Cardi B said she remains proud of the Knicks despite the loss. "I'm still so proud of them," she said.

She invited Knicks fans to join her Instagram Live before Game 4 for a "prayer circle" for the team.
