Knicks Game 1 jersey sells for $1.02 million at Sotheby's auction

A jersey worn by a New York Knicks player during Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals sold at Sotheby's for $1,024,000 after a 70-bid auction on Wednesday. The sale set a record for any collectible from that player and for any Knicks item sold at auction. The jersey was authenticated by Professional Sports Authenticator.

Two other jerseys each sold for $256,000, and one sold for $89,600. The same player scored 14 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter of a 105-95 win that left the Knicks tied with the Spurs in the series.

The Knicks later won the series in five games. A day after the series ended, a collector paid $312,000 for a numbered rookie card from the same player, exceeding the prior record of $96,660 set in 2024. In June, 14 cards from the player sold for at least $30,000 each.
