France 24The San Antonio Spurs defeated the New York Knicks 115-111 in Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. President Trump attended the game and sat in the owner’s box with Knicks owner James Dolan and members of his cabinet. He saluted during the national anthem.

His image appeared on the arena video screens during the anthem and again after halftime. Audible boos could be heard from inside the arena when President Trump was shown on a jumbotron. The arena cheered loudly for Knicks players and directed its biggest boos toward mentions of the visiting San Antonio Spurs.
Security was tight at the venue. Victor Wembanyama led San Antonio with 32 points. Stephon Castle added 23 points. Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby had big scoring nights for the Knicks. The victory cut the Knicks’ series lead to 2-1 in the best-of-seven championship series.
