The New York Knicks fell to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, ending their 13-game playoff winning streak. Knicks coach Mike Brown said after the game that spacing and quick decisions suffered because players held the ball too long.
Average time of possession per player also rose, and overall pace slowed. Brown noted that rowdy perimeter defense by San Antonio made transition scoring difficult.
He has yet to score in the fourth quarter of any game in the series. Brown said more touches for Towns would help reverse the ball and create better spacing.
