Anunoby had his first alcoholic drink during the Knicks' locker room celebration after the title win, according to a report by The Athletic. The team held a party Sunday night in Manhattan at a private club after returning from Texas. During the interview, host Michael Strahan asked Anunoby to smile, which Anunoby did.
Anunoby appeared to struggle to keep his eyes open after the request, causing further laughter from his teammates. Anunoby averaged just over 20 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game in 17 playoff appearances this season.
