The team is playing cautiously with its forward sidelined by a right hamstring strain for Game 4 against the 76ers on Sunday afternoon at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Officials are seeking to complete a series sweep but chose not to rush the player back into action despite holding a 3-0 lead.
The forward also missed the Game 3 victory on Friday. Imaging showed the injury to be a very minor strain, according to one published report. Team officials have expressed optimism that he will not miss much additional time and continue to list him as day-to-day.
The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of Game 2. The player came up short while driving to the basket, began limping, stayed in for a few plays, then asked to be substituted out and did not return. During the postseason the forward has averaged 20.3 points while shooting 61.9 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from three-point range.
His defensive versatility, including the ability to guard all positions, has also drawn notice. In his absence during Game 3 another guard started while a teammate re-entering the rotation after limited recent minutes contributed 15 points in 26 minutes off the bench.
The remains of a U.S. soldier who went missing during military exercises in Morocco a week ago were recovered in the Atlantic Ocean, the army said. Moroccan searchers located the body on Saturday in the water within a mile of where the soldier disappeared on May 2 near a cliff in Cap Draa.
The soldier, participating in a training exercise involving U.S., NATO allies and African countries, went missing on May 2. A search team recovered the remains the following day, according to an army statement released on Sunday. Military teams are searching for a second missing soldier from the same incident, one report noted.
The exercises took place in southern Morocco along the coast.
A Netanyahu advisor said Israel will take action if Hamas remains out of compliance with peace terms. The advisor credited the current U.S. administration's team for helping broker the deal and stated that officials are prepared to respond to any violations.
