Knicks Win First NBA Title in 50 Years as Fans Celebrate in Times Square

At 42nd Street and Broadway, New York Post reported. The shooting occurred roughly when individuals began tearing apart and setting fire to school buses in the area. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Three persons of interest were arrested and a firearm was recovered, the NYPD said. Three people were also detained near 39th Street, where officers recovered another firearm. No charges have been filed against the three individuals detained near 39th Street, officials said.

Police reported multiple additional arrests during the celebrations, including at least one person who punched an officer. A livestreamer was arrested for climbing on top of an Amazon car, New York Post reported. Officers did not provide a total arrest count.
