The Knicks defeated the Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 on Saturday night at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio to win their first NBA title in 53 years. Patrick Ewing attended the game courtside. He had previously reached the NBA Finals twice with the Knicks in 1994 and 1999.
"Fourth time is the charm," Ewing said after the game. "'99, I did the same thing I did tonight, just sit and watch and cheer. I take my hat off to the team, take my hat off to Jalen. " Ewing also commented on the significance for the city. "It means everything to the city," he said.
