Several homes were set on fire across the city, according to BBC News.
Cars and a bus were also torched, and families were driven from their homes, The New York Times said. Burnt-out cars and smashed windows remained visible on Belfast streets on Wednesday following the unrest. A Sudanese man appeared in court in connection with the stabbing, the hearing preceding the wider disorder directed at immigrant communities.
"Masked men burned families out of their homes in Belfast and torched a number of vehicles in a wave of anti-immigrant violence on Tuesday night," France 24 stated. Local officials have not released further details on arrests or ongoing investigations.
