Lady Marina Windsor Marries Nico Macauley in U.K. Church Ceremony

Lady Marina Windsor married Nico Macauley in a low-key ceremony at a church in the United Kingdom this weekend. The bride, 33, is the granddaughter of the Duke of Kent. The groom, 32, works as an account executive at a software company and is descended from newspaper publisher William Berry, First Viscount Camrose.

The Duke of Kent attended the wedding. Lady Marina's parents, George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews, and Sylvana Tomaselli, were also present. Her siblings Lady Amelia Windsor and Lord Downpatrick joined the family gathering.

Lady Marina wore a bespoke dress by Larissa Von Planta. She paired the gown with a veil made from antique Hapsburg lace and a tiara that originally belonged to Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark. Queen Mary gave the tiara to Princess Marina.

Lady Helen Taylor wore the same tiara at her 1992 wedding. The couple announced their engagement on June 8 last year. " on social media that day along with photographs of her ring. The date marked the anniversary of her grandparents' 1961 wedding in York.

The pair had been together for two years before the engagement. Lady Marina held her hen do on the Isle of Sheppey in March. The Duchess of Kent died last September at age 92. Her funeral at Westminster Cathedral was the first Catholic service for a member of the royal family in modern times.

Pope Leo XIV sent a message of condolence that was read during the service. Lady Marina had been removed from the line of succession to the British throne in 2008 after converting to Roman Catholicism at age 16. The wedding follows another recent royal event.

Peter Phillips, grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth, married nurse Harriet Sperling on June 6.
