Lainey Wilson Marries Devlin Hodges in Tennessee Cave Ceremony

Country singer Lainey Wilson and Devlin "Duck" Hodges were married on May 10 at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee. The couple revealed details of the ceremony in a feature published by Vogue on May 14. The two were initially set up on a blind date in 2021 and ended up at a honkytonk after dinner.

Wilson said they have been pretty inseparable since. Hodges proposed to Wilson in February 2025 at the late country singer-songwriter George Jones' estate in Franklin, Tennessee. The couple announced their engagement on Instagram that month. Wilson and Hodges discovered their wedding venue by chance while driving backroads in Tennessee.

They saw a billboard for The Ruskin Cave, and Hodges asked if she wanted to get married there. Wilson agreed, and after visiting they chose the location for its natural beauty and simplicity.

Wilson arrived by horse-drawn carriage wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta gown featuring tiny Japanese cherry blossoms. She said the blossoms represented living in the moment. The ceremony took place on a cobblestone ledge at the foot of a waterfall.

Wilson recalled that she had never seen Hodges smile as big as he did then. She said it made her feel giddy about turning the page into this next chapter of marriage. Both were anxious to say "I do," according to Wilson.

The couple kept the rest of the day true to their roots.

Wilson, who is from Louisiana, incorporated Cajun flair by hiring a 12-piece jazz band called Rebirth and serving a Cajun meal from the chefs at her bar, Bell Bottoms Up. She said they wanted the event to be special and beautiful but also welcoming and comfortable for guests.

The couple tried not to take themselves too seriously. After cocktail hour, the reception was held in the cave. It included a prayer from Wilson's mother. The dance floor was packed all night with family and friends. To close the evening, Wilson and Hodges followed the band through a send-off line of sparklers and cheering loved ones.

They climbed into an old white Ford truck and drove off. The couple made their red carpet debut in 2023 at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Wilson is a CMA and ACM entertainer of the year.
