Lakers agree to two-way contract with Miami (OH) guard Peter Suder
The Lakers reached an agreement on a two-way contract with guard Peter Suder after he went undrafted in 2026. Suder was named the 2026 MAC Player of the Year following a season in which he averaged 14.8 points.

The Lakers agreed to terms on a two-way contract with former Miami (OH) guard Peter Suder. The deal was reached immediately after Suder was not selected in the 2026 NBA draft. The agreement was first reported by HoopsHype of the USA Today Network and shared by his agency Edge Sports International.
Performance and honors Suder, a 6-foot-5 combo guard, shot 54.6 percent from the field during the 2025-26 season, including 59.7 percent on two-point shots and 42.1 percent on three-pointers. He averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4 assists per game.
His play helped Miami (OH) win its first regular-season conference championship in 21 years with a 31-0 regular-season record, including an 18-0 mark in conference play. Suder was named the 2026 MAC Player of the Year, the program's first conference player of the year since 2008-09, and led the team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007.
Suder transferred to Miami (OH) after spending his first two college seasons at Bellarmine. He earned two-time All-MAC first team honors. The Lakers also agreed to sign former Vanderbilt forward AK Okereke to a two-way deal on Wednesday.
