LeBron James, who averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds in 60 regular-season games, said after the game that he does not yet know what his future holds.

James, 41, told reporters he will spend time with family before making any decision about returning for a 24th NBA season. "Obviously, we’re still fresh from losing – I don’t know what the future holds for me as it stands right now," James said. He added that conversations with his wife and children will factor heavily into the choice.

Team and league sources said the organization plans to build around Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves. Coach JJ Redick stated that the team wants the core of Dončić, Reaves and James to remain together. Austin Reaves scored 27 points in the series finale, while Rui Hachimura added 25 points and eight rebounds.
