Lamborghini Launches Limited 1,065-HP Fenomeno Roadster Hybrid
The ultra-exclusive open-top hypercar, limited to 15 examples already allocated to customers, was revealed at the Lamborghini Arena event at Italy’s Imola circuit. It combines a 6.5-liter V12 with three YASA electric motors in a hybrid system derived from the Revuelto. Forbes reported the Fenomeno Roadster accelerates from 0-62 mph in 2.4 seconds and exceeds 211 mph.
ForbesLamborghini has unveiled the Fenomeno Roadster, a 1,065-horsepower hybrid hypercar it describes as the most powerful open-top model in its history. The vehicle produces 1,080 CV and was revealed during the second Lamborghini Arena event at Italy’s Imola circuit. All 15 examples that will be built have already been allocated to hand-selected customers, many of them longstanding collectors.
Only 15 examples of the Fenomeno Roadster will be built, making it even rarer than the Fenomeno coupe introduced during Monterey Car Week in 2025. The launch event at Imola therefore served more as a celebration than a sales effort. Nineteen examples of the legendary Miura supercar from the 1960s and early 1970s, all customer cars, were also in attendance.
5-liter V12 with a hybrid system using three motors from YASA. Its hybrid drivetrain is derived from the architecture introduced with the Revuelto plug-in hybrid supercar, which paired a naturally aspirated engine with three electric motors and a compact battery pack. The Revuelto introduced Lamborghini’s first series-production V12 plug-in hybrid setup.
Lamborghini has now hybridized all its core model lines. The Temerario, successor to the Huracán, replaced the long-running naturally aspirated V10 with a twin-turbocharged V8 hybrid system producing more than 900 horsepower. The company’s first fully electric model will arrive later this decade.
Bespoke chassis and aerodynamic modifications distinguish the Fenomeno Roadster, which makes heavy use of carbon fiber. The front and rear subframes are entirely new. The carbon-fiber monocoque has been adapted specifically for the open-top configuration.
Additional structural reinforcement and rollover protection were required after removing the roof. Lamborghini says the weight increase compared with the coupe is minimal. 4 seconds and exceed 211 mph.
The Fenomeno Roadster continues a limited-production lineage that began with the Reventón Roadster produced in 2009. Subsequent “Few-Off” models included the Veneno Roadster, Centenario Roadster and Sián Roadster. Forbes reported that these ultra-low-volume collector cars serve as design and technology showcases.
Mitja Borkert, Lamborghini design chief, said the company wanted the car to have an instantly recognizable silhouette inspired by iconic aircraft. The aggressively sculpted carbon-fiber body features dramatic aerodynamic elements, sharp surfacing and an elongated rear section designed to improve downforce.
The vehicle underscores Lamborghini’s strategy of using hybridization to push performance rather than merely improve efficiency.
This approach contrasts with the broader industry move toward fully electric vehicles. Forbes reported that the fastest production car in the world, the all-electric YANGWANG U9 Xtreme, illustrates the direction many performance marques are exploring. Limited-run hypercars have become important revenue generators for Lamborghini.
Customers for the Fenomeno Roadster were selected from the brand’s most elite collectors, some of whom own dozens or even hundreds of Lamborghinis. The exclusivity allows high margins while testing advanced materials and hybrid systems before wider application.
