Las Vegas Aces waive guard Chennedy Carter

The Las Vegas Aces waived guard Chennedy Carter on Wednesday, July 7. Carter had started the season as a candidate for WNBA Sixth Player of the Year. The Aces signed Justine Pissott, previously a developmental player for the Indiana Fever, to fill the roster spot. Carter had joined the Aces on a training camp contract signed April 15.

Carter's performance this season Carter appeared in 14 games for the Aces, averaging 12.2 points per game off the bench. She played in the team's last two games, scoring four points in 24 minutes combined against the Fever and the Sky.

Carter's prior WNBA career Carter was selected fourth overall by the Atlanta Dream in the 2020 WNBA Draft and was named to the All-Rookie team that year. She last played in the league in 2024 for the Chicago Sky, where she averaged 17.5 points on 48.7 percent shooting.

Carter has also played professionally in China, Israel, Mexico, Poland and Turkey, and spent time with the Los Angeles Sparks. The Aces stated that Carter is a prolific scorer who could add depth if she returns to a roster.
