Leak Shows Images of Samsung's Rumored Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide Foldable

Images shared online depict dummy units of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy foldable phones, including a model referred to as the Z Fold 8 Wide. The Verge reported that the wide foldable is expected to arrive later this year. The leaked images show a design similar to a passport.

The dummy unit indicates a dual-camera setup on the rear, compared to three cameras on other Z Fold models. The images also feature prominent rings on the units, which suggest support for Qi2 wireless charging. This would mark the first time Samsung includes this feature in its foldables.

The Z Fold 8 Wide is positioned to compete with Huawei's Pura X Max, which launched in China last week as the first wide-style foldable available for purchase. It would also rival Google's Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which includes Qi2 support. Additionally, the dimensions of the leaked unit align with reports about the expected size of Apple's rumored foldable iPhone.

The leaked images provide a side-by-side comparison with Samsung's existing foldable designs. The Verge noted that the Z Fold 8 Wide's dimensions match previous reports of similarities with the iPhone Fold. Samsung previously experimented with a TriFold design, which did not continue.
