Batting fifth, Lee grounded out twice against starter Javier Assad and lined out to right field against reliever Hoby Milner. The Giants scored their lone run on a ninth-inning solo home run by Bryce Eldridge.

During that span he batted .500 with 36 hits in 72 at-bats and struck out three times, lifting his season average from .265 to .338. After the hitless game his batting average stands at .333, second in Major League Baseball behind Otto Lopez of the Miami Marlins.
Context The streak had been the longest active mark in MLB and the longest ever by a South Korean player in the majors. Rafael Devers struck out with Lee on deck in the ninth inning, ending any chance to extend the run.
