Variety reported that Li Jun Li has joined the cast of 'The Last of Us' Season 3 as Miriam, the mother of Lev and Yara.

Miriam is a Seraphite in the HBO Max series 'The Last of Us'. Michelle Mao will play Yara in 'The Last of Us', and Kyriana Kratter will play Lev in 'The Last of Us'. Lev and Yara are siblings whose paths cross with Abby at a pivotal moment as Ellie begins her revenge rampage in Seattle in 'The Last of Us'.

'The Last of Us' was renewed for a third season in 2025, ahead of its Season 2 debut.

Neil Druckmann announced his departure ahead of 'The Last of Us' Season 3, and Craig Mazin will serve as the sole showrunner for 'The Last of Us' Season 3. Craig Mazin will write and executive produce 'The Last of Us' Season 3. 'The Last of Us' is based on a hit video game franchise and is set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a fungal infection that transforms much of humanity into violent, infected creatures.

'The Last of Us' is a co-production between HBO and Sony Pictures Television, with executive producers including Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. Producers of 'The Last of Us' include PlayStation Productions, Word Games, Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog.

'The Last of Us' is expected to begin shooting in summer 2026.
