Linda Nosková defeated Karolína Muchová 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in the Wimbledon women's singles final on Saturday to win her first Grand Slam title. The match was an all-Czech affair at Wimbledon. Nosková took the opening set 6-2 before Muchová leveled the contest by winning the second set 7-5.
Nosková then closed out the third set 6-3. Nosková, 21, secured the victory after Muchová had advanced to the final by saving a match point against Coco Gauff in a three-set semifinal that lasted two hours and 35 minutes on Thursday. Muchová entered the tournament as the 10th seed.
