Lindsey Vonn and Matthieu Bailet Spotted Together in New York City

Olympic alpine skiers Lindsey Vonn and Matthieu Bailet were seen together in New York City's Soho neighborhood on Thursday. The pair had lunch before taking the subway, where they sat close while waiting for the train. Vonn is 41 and Bailet is 30. Bailet competed for France at the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing.

Vonn wore a white blouse, black leather jacket and light wash jeans while using forearm crutches. Vonn continues to recover from a crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy in January. She shattered her tibia, fibula and ankle in the incident. She underwent five surgeries and nearly lost her left leg to compartment syndrome.

The pair follow each other on Instagram and have liked numerous posts on each other's feeds. Page Six reached out to Vonn’s representative but did not receive an immediate response.

Vonn attended the Met Gala on Monday.

It was her first red carpet event since the crash. She had been airlifted to a hospital after the incident during competition. This was Vonn’s third time at the Met Gala. She first attended in 2010, the year she won a gold medal at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She attended again in 2013 with her then-boyfriend Tiger Woods.

March, Vonn appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

She discussed the crash and her decision to come out of retirement. She had been retired for nearly six years before returning to compete. “I was number one in the world, and potentially on my way to an Olympic medal,” she told the outlet. ” Vonn described the pain after the crash.

’ It just wouldn’t dissipate. It wouldn’t let up. ” She added that she does not want to be remembered only for the crash. “What I did before the Olympics has never been done before,” Vonn told the magazine.
