Lionsgate Sets December 2027 Release for 'The Housemaid's Secret'
Paul Anthony Kelly joins Sydney Sweeney, Michele Morrone and Kirsten Dunst in the sequel directed by Paul Feig. Production begins later in 2026.

" Sydney Sweeney will reprise her role as Millie, Michele Morrone will return as Enzo, and Kirsten Dunst will join the cast. Paul Feig will direct. Kelly, who played John F. Kennedy Jr. in the FX series "Love Story," is making the transition from romantic drama to psychological thriller.

Both "The Housemaid" and "The Housemaid's Secret" are based on New York Times bestselling novels by Freida McFadden. McFadden's most recent entry in the series, "The Housemaid Is Watching," was published in June 2024. Lionsgate stated in a press release that once production starts later this year, the studio anticipates adapting additional McFadden thrillers set in the same world.
"The Housemaid's Secret" is scheduled for release on December 17, 2027. Kelly was also announced as a cast member for season 13 of "American Horror Story," which is set to premiere in fall 2026 on FX and Hulu. The casting was revealed at the 2026 Disney Upfront in May, where Kelly appeared onstage with Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Billie Lourd and Emma Roberts.
